Four Types of Prewriting
Many students start sketching their essays just by beginning at a clear sheet of paper and considering what to write. In this case, they need some kind of help with essays, because creating essays may be simplified by utilizing four prewriting types: 1) free writing, 2) clustering, 3) specifying, and 4) outlining.
The first one is free writing. This is used to help with essays for those writers who ate thinking about a problem to write. The key is to ignore correct punctuation and spelling, and just jot down everything, which comes to mind. To start free writing, you should select a problem and begin writing about it.
The following type is clustering. When a problem has been chosen, clustering help with essays will give the basic support for the work. Clustering starts with a sheet of paper, which has a single topic inserted in the circus. Anything that concerns the problem is jot down with a line turning off from the topic. This procedure is continued unless enough material is brainstormed.
Then follows specifying. It is utilized to alter a topic concept to a specific thesis statement. Such simple questions as who, where, what, why, and when will join more detail and description to your writing. In order to specify, the topic concept is jotted down on your paper and questions are required to make the work more specific.
All essays must be arranged in a logical disposition, and outlining is utilized exactly for this. An outline puts the thesis statement on top and introduces the essay’s framework.
